Robert Kingston's paintings, although abstract, seem to possess 3-dimensional qualities. Mostly light and airy with monochromatic backgrounds, they suggest of enlarged details of a lake surface or a vast desert space. You can almost feel the heat. They are very playful, like a music written with a brush. A joy to look at and contemplate.
